Training to empower colleagues and build confidence in working with behaviour which feels challenging, equipping you with practical tools.

This course is designed to empower colleagues and build confidence in working with behaviour which feels challenging. It will provide you with practical de-escalation tools and a range of strategies to foster a calm and respectful learning environment. Effective communication skills, aimed at diffusing conflicts and managing emotions, will also be explored.

At The Mulberry Bush, we recognise that building positive working relationships between staff members and children is key to implementing effective de-escalation strategies. As a result, the training will dig into what drives challenging behaviour and how we can best moderate and improve our responses to illicit successful outcomes. This is especially important as it is our responses to behaviours which will determine whether a tricky situation will improve or deteriorate.

This session is being run by Laura Dennis and Emma Knipe from The Mulberry Bush.

This session is being run twice throughout the day, the morning session is 09.15 – 11.45am and the afternoon session is 1.15 – 3.45pm, please select which session you want to attend when making your booking.

This session is suitable for Teachers and TA’s in all phases
