This half-day workshop is one of six in a series across one school year designed to give Headteachers, HR personnel and any staff with line management responsibility practical skills and knowledge to lead staff and school systems effectively.
Now in the depths of the blue months there is likely to be a peak in unnecessary absences so it is important that leaders understand how they can influence whether an employee chooses to take time off work as sick (when in fact they are just wanting a duvet day) and how to formally manage those who frequently take time off.
In this workshop, we will explore the impact of absence, the return to work process, triggers for formal review and how to support staff who are genuinely unable to work through ill health.
Other workshops in this Essential Leadership Skills series in 2021 are:
- Employee Engagement – 18th January 2021
- Managing Discipline and Grievance – 15th March 2021
- Managing Performance – 17th May 2021
- Managing Change – 14th June 2021
Each session is capped at a maximum of 12 participants to ensure the training will be interactive.
The workshops are bookable individually or as a set, to fit your needs and develop your staff knowledge and skills.
