4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
One of the greatest challenges identified by scale-up (fast-growth) business founders in the West of England is that of access to investment. The lack of transparency of available regional funds and funders is something that needs to be addressed. Meanwhile, investors lament the lack of information about deal flow and investment infrastructure.
This, the fourth event in the 2019 Quarterly Investment Briefing series will focus on a review of the year, from differing perspectives with a particular focus on collaboration for investment.
16:30 – 16:40 Arrival, tea and coffee
16:40 – 17:25 Lightning talks, Q&A, conversation
17:25 – 17:30 What the data tells us about 2018
17:30 – 18:30 Drinks/canapes
About this event
The Quarterly Investment Briefing is a new, regular gathering of investors at all stages, it is designed to create space for investors to:
- Discover new opportunities and investment vehicles on the horizon
- Learn about key investment news – internationally, nationally and regionally
- Connect and collaborate with one another and share good practice
This event is a gathering purely of investors. If you are a fast growth business founder and you would like to share your proposition with this group of potential investors, please provide a one page summary of your business, including your ask and your contact details. These will be circulated at the event and shared digitally with a wider group of c. 200 investors. Send this as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org
The Quarterly Investment Briefing series is generously sponsored by Smith & Williamson, TLT Solicitors and KPMG.
The Quarterly Investment Briefing exists to encourage and enable more investment activity and to provide a platform to share good practice in the West of England. It is an initiative run by the Engine Shed in partnership with KPMG, Smith & Williamson and TLT. Those who attend the Quarterly Investment Briefing share three common principles:
- Whoever attends is an active or potentially active investor, or manager of investors – or enabler of investment activity.
- Whatever is presented is informative, fact-based and regionally relevant.
- We value the opportunity to learn equally with the opportunity to share.
This event is organised by our regional Scale-up Enabler and Associate Director, Briony Phillips
